Should it not be easy booking your child into Nursery

Fife council - OMG what a carry on. I have moved house and Struan is now out of the catchment area from hell (busing children miles to different school as inadequate school provision on a new housing estate) and booking him into nursery should be easy. Off I went to the school with proof of address and his birth certificate to fill in the form so he can get into the school 5 minutes walk from the house. What a joke - it might be his local nursery but because it feeds both the catholic and protestant schools. As it is the only catholic school in the town it is over subscribed with children from outside the area. Ahhh I now have to wait until April when the Gods of the council sit and decide if my 3 year old will get into his local nursery or if mummy will have to ferry him about Fife to where they decide to put him!

oooh hun.. sorry about that. It will be because the enrolement closed at the end of jan, so all places will be allocated... I had that problem with ethan and he had to spend a term at a nursery that i had to walk 30 mins uphill to (then 30 mins downhill, lol!. But still, since it is his catchment, you would thnik they could fit him in ... im mean, he is only tiny, lol!
